Privacy policy
Hilo is a daily planner. To make it work we store your tasks and the minimum account data. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads and we don't use tracking cookies.
Who is responsible for your data
- Controller: Késsia Neves (self-employed, Spain), tax ID [TU NIF]
- Address: [DIRECCIÓN PROFESIONAL]
- Privacy contact email: [CORREO DE CONTACTO]
What data we store
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| Name and email address | To create your account, let you log in and send you a link if you forget your password. |
| Password | To log in to your account. It's stored encrypted so that nobody, not even us, can read it. |
| Your tasks, notes, subtasks and settings (Good morning and Wind-down times, colors, language) | To show you your planner on all your devices. |
| Technical data for phone alerts | To send you the alerts you turn on. Only if you turn them on. |
| IP address and number of login attempts | To protect accounts from unauthorized access attempts. Deleted within 24 hours. |
We don't ask for or store payment details, location, contacts or photos.
Why we can process it
- To provide the service you request when you create your account (Article 6.1.b GDPR).
- To keep accounts secure, which is our legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f GDPR).
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete it from the app (Settings → My account → Delete my account), your data is removed from the database immediately. Server backups rotate and disappear within [DÍAS QUE GUARDA COPIAS TU HOSTING] days.
Who we share it with
- Hosting provider: Sistemahost (Spain), where Hilo's server runs. It only stores the data on our behalf.
- Phone alert services (Apple, Google or Mozilla, depending on your device): they receive the encrypted alert to deliver it to your phone. Some of these services are outside the European Union and are bound by the safeguards required by the GDPR.
We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct, delete or take away your data, restrict its use or object to it. You can do many of these things yourself in the app:
- Correct your name: Settings → My account.
- Take your data with you: Settings → My account → Download my data.
- Delete everything: Settings → My account → Delete my account.
For anything else, write to [CORREO DE CONTACTO]. If you think we haven't handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or to the authority in your country.
Minimum age
Hilo is for people aged 14 and over. If you're younger, you need permission from your parent or guardian.
Storage on your device
The app stores your session, your tasks (so you can see them offline) and some preferences on your device. This is needed for it to work and isn't used to track you or for advertising.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll let you know in the app before the change applies.
